In Detail

Why Odoo on Your Own Server?

Customers, quotations and invoices live on your server in Frankfurt. The Community Edition is licensed under the LGPL with no per-user fee – you only pay for the server and extend Odoo with the modules you need.

Odoo is modular business software: you install CRM, sales, invoicing, purchasing, inventory, projects and the website builder individually under “Apps”. The panel sets up Odoo 18 Community with its own PostgreSQL database, loads the German language and skips demo data. Your admin account logs in with your e-mail address and a generated password. The web database manager is disabled, so nobody can create or delete databases through the browser. With a domain, Odoo runs under HTTPS; you can also add or change the domain later in the panel. Only the Community Edition is included – modules of the paid Enterprise Edition, such as Odoo Studio, are not part of it.
