In Detail
Why V Rising on Your Own Server?
Castles, resources and progress no longer depend on one player’s PC. On your own server you set game rules, password and player count yourself and have SSH access to every setting.
Before the first start the panel writes ServerHostSettings.json with the server name, player count and a generated server password; the server then downloads the V Rising dedicated server software via SteamCMD. The server shows up in the game’s server list: under “Online Play” you search for its name and enter the password. The world saves automatically every two minutes, and the last 20 saves are kept. RCON and the HTTP API are switched off by default. Game rules such as damage, yield rates or castle limits are set in ServerGameSettings.json, which you edit via SSH. There is no domain; the game uses ports 9876 and 9877 (UDP). Every player needs V Rising themselves; plan for at least 4 GB of RAM.

Pick V Rising under “Apps” in the panel, enter server name and player count
In the game choose “Online Play”, search for the server name and enter the password
