Is a Windows license included?
You can install Windows Server via our templates. For production environments we recommend your own license, which you can obtain through Microsoft. For testing purposes, evaluation versions offer 180 days of free use.
Which Windows versions can I install?
We offer Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2025 and Windows 11 Pro as 1-click templates. Via our ISO upload function you can also install other Windows versions.
How do I connect via RDP?
After installation you receive the IP address and login credentials. On Windows open Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc.exe), on Mac use Microsoft Remote Desktop, on Linux rdesktop or Remmina.
How much RAM do I need for Windows?
For Windows Server we recommend at least 4 GB RAM (preferably 8 GB). For Windows 11 Pro with desktop use at least 8 GB. The more applications you run in parallel, the more RAM you need.
