Who we are

The Prepaid-Host.com blog is written by Christopher Sakel, founder and owner of the company. Prepaid-Host.com is run as a sole proprietorship; the full provider details including the postal address are in the legal notice. He is also the person responsible for the content under § 18 (2) MStV.

Editorial principles

• We back up what we claim. Security reports link to the advisory, the CVE or the original report — not to a summary of it.
• We do not rewrite other people's articles. Our own contribution lies in our own checks: if a vulnerability affects software we run ourselves, the article says what checking our systems actually found.
• Reporting and products stay apart. Articles about security incidents carry no product links in the body text. What an incident means for customers goes into its own clearly marked section.
• There are no paid articles. No text on this blog was paid for, sponsored or approved by a third party. Should that ever change, it will be marked on the article itself.
• We do not quote figures we cannot back up — no availability promises, no invented customer numbers.

Disclosure

This blog is run by Prepaid-Host.com, a provider of root servers, web hosting, game servers and domains. So we report on a market we operate in ourselves, and on software we run ourselves. That is both our commercial interest and the reason we can say more about some topics than others: we operate the systems we write about.

References to our own products are recognisable as such. We receive no commission for referring to other providers.

Corrections

Mistakes happen. If you spot one, write to [email protected] — please include the link to the article and the passage in question.

Corrected articles keep their address. Substantive corrections are noted at the end of the article with a date, so it stays traceable what was changed. We only raise an article's modification date for genuine changes to its content, never to artificially freshen a text.

Use of AI

Research, fact-checking and responsibility for every article rest with the named author. We use AI tools to assist with drafting, translation and editing. No article is published without a human having reviewed and approved it.

The English and Chinese versions of an article are machine-translated and editorially reviewed. In case of doubt, the German version prevails.
